Responsibility for the human relations component and its functions that include policy development, revision, and interpretation; coordination of the Sexual Ethics Commission, dispute and conciliation services, and race relations; secretariat functions that include general and Interunion calls; Interdivision travel; collecting and maintaining camp meeting schedules; interpreting church policies; and other administrative functions of the unit in the absence of and as assigned by the Secretary.

Responsibility for leadership and networking of volunteer outreach ministries in North America and bringing together church institutional and supportive organizations for shared goals in volunteer ministries such as student missions, task force and literacy programs, community projects, Bible work, campaign evangelism, and a host of other outreach activities.

Performs diverse secretarial duties for the secretary, including the preparation of agenda for regular NADCOM meetings, the Year-end meeting, the GC and NAD Credentials and Licenses Committees, and the NAD Secretaries Council; coordinates the Authorized Meetings Calendar of the GC and NAD; and assists the Secretary with any special projects as necessary that pertain to the Secretariat function.

Performs a variety of duties that include, but are not limited to statistical reporting, writing policy amendments for the Year-end meeting, edit the Working Policy Book, edit all NAD minutes, assistant recording secretary, providing forms for collecting statistical data from local conferences and church clerks.

Records, transcribes, duplicates and distributes rough drafts (including weekly and monthly mailings) approval copies, and final minutes of meetings in which Secretariat is involved; indexes minutes; processes official copies of NADCOM minutes; records and processes the Year-end minutes; and prepares and index and the NAD Booklet which contains actions from the Year-end Meeting.
